Matichon Public

Matichon Public is one of the major newspaper and publisher groups in Thailand with 7 different publications.

Matichon Public Co., Ltd. is using a complete FotoWare system solution for picture archiving, prepress production and editorial workflow. The system is implemented in all prepress processes such as picture input, description, editorial selection, output workflow and the long term picture library.


The Philippine Star

The Philippine Star has implemented a complete picture archiving and workflow system from FotoWare with great success.

The FotoWare system completely automates the picture workflow between the photo department, scanning department, color lab, editorial and layout, all integrated into one common digital workflow. The system takes care of input, description, selection, workflow operations and a fully automated picture library.

Editors can receive and process RGB pictures directly from the wire services, the provinces or from the local photographers and 2 minutes later have the picture ready in the page layout application in CMYK or BW, color corrected, separated and converted to the required file format.


Photo Digital Magazine

Photo Digital is a publisher of digital photo equipment magazines.

Photo Digital is using FotoStation Pro software (FotoWare, Norway) to manage, process and retrieve archived images.


ThaiDay dot com

Publisher of an English speaking daily newspaper (ThaiDay) in Bangkok (Thailand).

The ThaiDay photo department uses FotoStation Pro for input editor's photographic material. With the FotoStation Pro software (FotoWare, Norway) the operator can perform all necessary tasks such as acquiring, selection, caption, categorization and further forwarding in the editorial workflow.


The Thairath Daily

The Thairath Daily is the largest daily newspaper in Thailand with a circulation of over 1,000,000 copies per day. During the year 2004, a full-fledged multimedia archiving and digital workflow system was implemented with great success.

The FotoWare system automates the complete workflow and standardizes the picture formats, quality and descriptions. The picture workflow is taken care of from the input in the photo lab, scanning lab and remote office departments all the way to the daily editorial picture processing, output and long term archiving in the library department.

With the FotoWare system the efficiency of the daily operations has substantially increased since we can provide the users with one single system, standard and interface for processing all media assets and digital workflow operations.

The FotoWare system fully supports both Thai and English language in all important areas such as input of text files, captioning and description of pictures. With the full text search, it is now very easy and fast to search and retrieve data in Thai as well as in English. All search, retrieval, forwarding and processing of pictures and data is now handled directly from the user's desktop using a standard internet browser to access and control the operations in the FotoWare system.

The FotoWare multimedia library has also been fully integrated into the editorial and production workflow environment. The users can search, retrieve and send the digital media to be forwarded and processed in other departments according to preset specifications and instructions. The complete library of pictures, text and clippings, book information and personalities, accumulated since the beginning of the nineties, was formerly kept in several outdated archiving systems and have now all been converted to the FotoWare system.


Trade & Logistics Siam

Since 1997 Trade & Logistics Siam have been at the forefront of bringing shipping and logistics news to Thailand, in the country's native language, Thai. Today they publish Logistics Manager (LM) and the monthly Thai-language Airfreight Logistics.

Trade & Logistics Siam Co., Ltd. is using a complete FotoWare system solution for picture editorial and picture library. The system automates and standardize the picture formats, quality and descriptions including sources such as digital cameras, scanners, CD-ROM's and email.

The system will streamline and integrate the complete magazine production in terms of picture input, editorial workflow, magazine layout and library archiving.


AsiaWorks Photography

AsiaWorks Photography is a picture agency that over the years, have accumulated hours of quality broadcast footage from across Asia.

AsiaWorks uses FotoStation Pro to input, caption and categorize new images as well as manage and control their picture archives.


Chulalongkorn University

As the first institution of higher learning in Thailand, Chulalongkorn University has eighteen faculties and a number of schools, institutes and projects, which are engaging in teaching and other related activities.

Chulalongkorn University uses FotoStation Pro (FotoWare) in their photographic museum for input, caption and categorization of images as well as to manage and control their archives.


Public Relations Department

The Public Relations Department is using a FotoWare Digital Asset Management system to archive and access all valuable digital assets such as images, videos and other multimedia assets from one central digital archive.

From the central digital archives all the assets can easily be found using full text search or automated dynamic search menus and shared among the different departments and employees via a standard web browser. The system also gives public users access to certain selected archives as well as for cooperating partners and media to access, view and download digital material via the Internet.


Suhyup

The Public relation office of National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives (Suhyup) in Korea has implemented a Fotoware Digital Asset Management Solution.

The implemented FotoWare solution enables the users to upload and describe photos and videos to the central FotoWare archiving server over the internet using a standard web browser.

The solution also enables the users to instantly search, view and retrieve photos and videos, either by using FotoStation Pro from a client computer or FotoWeb through a standard web browser.

The FotoWare system fully supports Korean language in terms of full text search and the complete user interface and commands are displayed in Korean language.


Tourism Authority of Thailand

Tourism Authority of Thailand has implemented a complete Digital Asset Management system built on software solutions from Fotoware A.S, (Norway).

With the Digital Asset Management system implemented, Tourism Authority of Thailand are able to archive and share all valuable digital assets such as images, videos and other multimedia assets into one central archive.

The Digital Asset Management solution has been designed as a Photo Bank where all oversea and domestic branch offices, via Internet and a standard web browser, will have direct access to Tourism Authority of Thailand's central photo archives.

Users are via the Photo Bank system able to search and retrieve photos to be used for local campaigns or for direct delivery to business partners, travel agencies and other customers.

The Digital Asset Management system is based on software from FotoWare (Norway).


Thailand Creative & Design Center (TCDC)

Thailand Creative & Design Center (TCDC) is a division under the Office of Knowledge Management and Development (OKMD), Office of the Prime Minister and TCDC's key focus is to create an opportunity for Thai people to access source of knowledge for their new inspirations.

Thailand Creative & Design Center is using a Digital Asset Management system to archive and access all valuable digital assets such as images, videos and other multimedia assets from one central digital archive.

From the central digital archives all the assets can easily be found using full text search or automated dynamic search menus and shared among the different departments and employees via a standard web browser.

The system is also used to via Internet give public users access to certain selected archives as well as for cooperating partners and media to access, view and download digital material from specific events and exhibitions.

Red Cross International

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies is the world's largest humanitarian organization.

Photographers uses FotoStation Pro (FotoWare, Norway) to handle the input, captioning and categorization of photos during outstation photographic assignments and in house operations. FotoStation Pro is also used to automatically generate HTML pages for export, including a selection of pictures and according to a preset template.
