PDF Server is a software solution designed for optimization in newspaper print.
PDF Server is a transparent step in the ICC workflow, intervening right when PDF pages are sent to the RIP. PDF Server analyzes every object in the PDF documents and converts them to the same color space, based on the press profile, optimized to generate ink savings.
Newspapers pages processed by PDF Server are printed with accurate colors and sharp images matching the original document.
The ink reformulation uses less color ink in black areas, thus allowing color ink savings up to 50%, reduction of smearing and metemarism, a faster production start and less paper waste.
